The 21st edition of the Montreal Walk for Alzheimer's!


NEW THIS YEAR! The Walk will take place on SATURDAY MAY 24, 2025 at the ANGRIGNON PARK, in Montreal.

With Marika Lhoumeau, spokesperson of the Montreal Walk 2025! 
Actress, author and theatre director, she's also a caregiver.


Join-us in raising funds for the 500,000 Canadians living with a neurocognitive disorder and their caregivers! On May 24, you can take part in the Walk by walking in your own neighbourhood, or join-us for a family-friendly gathering at the park!

Location: Angrignon Park in Montreal

Schedule of the day (To be confirmed): 
8:30 a.m : Registration - Collect your t-Shirt!
9:00 a.m : Opening words - Tim Hortons coffee and pastries, games and partners' kiosks

10:00 a.m: Warm-up with Nautilus Plus and music - get ready to dance!
11:00 a.m: Departure of the Walk 3,5 km.
12:00 p.m: Return from the Walk - various games and activities, partners' kiosks and a friendly picnic - bring your lunch!

 The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is a national public awareness event that occurs in more than 250 communities across Canada. It is the largest fundraising event for Alzheimer's and related diseases in the country.

    How to take part in the Walk?

    1. Register to the walk, either as a solo participant or create a team. 
    2. Personalize your fundraising page : add a picture and tell your story! Explain why you decided to participate in the Walk for Alzheimer's and how this cause is important to you.
    3. Set a fundraising goal : suggested amount of $200 or more.
    4. Recruit donors and participants! Contact family members, friends and acquaintances to ask them for their support and invite them to the Walk! Don't hesitate to ask for donation several times to remind them how important this cause is to you and  that you need their support to reach your fundraising goal. And dont forget to thank your generous donors. 
    5. Walk or do a physical activity of your choice on May 24th 2025 To represent the colours of the Alzheimer Society, we invite you to wear the Walk for Alzheimer's t-shirt, a blue garment or accessory during your Walk. You can also use our customizable sign to let people know for whom you are raising funds. You can't join us at the Walk? Organize a walk in your own neighbourhood with family and friends!
    6. Share with us photos or videos of your walk to marche@alzheimermontreal.ca, so that we can show your support to people living with dementia! You can post your pictures or videos of your Walk on your social media, with the hashtag #IGWalkForAlzMontreal


    Tim Hortons is proud to support the Walk for Alzheimer's and wishes to celebrate the great generosity of it's community!

    1st Prize:  One $100 gift-card from Tim Hortons among the participants who will have raised a minimum of $200 by March 31. (Draw on April 3) 

    2nd Prize: One 200$ gift-card from Tim Hortons among the participants who will have raised a minimum of $500 by May 5. (Draw on May 7) 

    3rd Prize: One 250$ gift-card from Tim Hortons among the members of the 3 teams who will have raised the highest amount by May 23. (Draw on May 28) ​​​​​​​


     


    A donation can make a lasting impact! Here's what your donation can do:

    • $60 : a 16 hour participation for 1 caregiver in our 6 weeks support group, including a complete toolkit with useful tips, ressources and information about the disease. 
    • $200 : A complete stimulation kit used by our clients living with dementia during the Society's adapted in-home respite visits.
    • $300 : Specialized equipment for the15 participants in each of our three activity centers, located in Ahuntsic, Saint-Henri and Lachine.
    • $500 : 20 hours of private consultation provided by the Society's professional counsellors.
