For a 15th consecutive year, the Au Diapason Community is mobilizing for La Marche / La Course which will take place on May 5, 2024 on the multifunctional trails in Bromont. The inspiring theme of the event, I’m moving to the rhythm of Diapason! resonates deeply with the palliative care and end-of-life support services approach: each person is cared for and supported at their own pace, in accordance with their needs, expectations and values.

La Marche / La Course, the Au Diapason Foundation’s signature event, raises 25% of the funds required annually to support the activities of La Maison and l’Équipe d’accompagnement Au Diapason.  The event was launched in May 2010 by a small group made up of a few passionate women and men who had completed the ascent of Kilimanjaro for the benefit of La Maison Au Diapason a few years previously. Since then, an annual movement has emerged: hundreds of people close to the cause rally in a festive and friendly atmosphere for Au Diapason. More than 6,700 people have walked or run since 2010, raising nearly $4.5 million for La Marche / La Course!

This year, the event will celebrate all the people who have participated in this movement over the past15 years, starting with two pioneers of La Marche in 2010, Denise Gagné and Édith Vachon. These remarkable women made an exceptional contribution to the first edition of La Marche and they remain involved to this day. Madame Vachon will walk in 2024 for the 15th time, testifying: “I have participated in La Marche since 2010.  Helping people at the end of life cannot be measured: it brings me great serenity, the reward is immediate and very concrete. » Madame Gagné, member of the organizing committee and the board of directors of the Au Diapason Foundation, adds “La Marche is a must for me; supporting Au Diapason’s activities goes without saying. They are essential for all residents of Brome-Missisquoi and Haute Yamaska. »

Pioneers, families, teams, new teams, employees, volunteers, board members, dignitaries, businesses and sponsors, all are the key to the success of La Marche / La Course!

On May 5th 2024

Participants will be able to choose among 4 routes, each with unique characteristics to satisfy a wide range of needs and abilities. Staggered departures will take place from the Bromont Public Square, depending on the route chosen. Beyond walking or running on Bromont's magnificent trails, participants in this 15th edition will have the pleasure of enjoying little touches offered by local merchants along the way. The return to the Bromont Public Square will be marked by musical performances, entertainment kiosks and a friendly picnic, thus ensuring a festive and familiar atmosphere.
