Melissa Makuch Di Marco

This year, I’m walking to help cure ALS, in memory of my mom, who was diagnosed on February 6th and who I lost on May 29th. Watching her battle this disease in such a short time, and then losing her, has been the hardest, most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever gone through. There are no words for the pain of losing someone who meant everything to you.

I’m walking for her, for her strength, her love, and the incredible person she was. And I’m walking for every family facing the same devastating reality of ALS.
