A strong ally

La rue des Femmes Foundation was established in 2001 with the mission to raise private funds to support La rue des Femmes, a relational health centre that helps homeless women rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society. Building on the values of integrity, commitment and sharing, the Foundation serves as a powerful ally to support the financial sustainability and raise the visibility of La rue des Femmes.

Our mission

 Provide therapeutic and preventive care to women who are homeless or at risk of becoming so.
 Conduct research and provide training in relational health to care providers.
 Raise public awareness of the issues and challenges of homelessness.
 Promote relational health as a key aspect of overall health that is as vitally important as physical and mental well-being.

Our vision

 Change people’s perception of homelessness.
 Change the approach to care provided to homeless people.
 Become a leader in relational health care, research and training.
 Provide our services to all homeless women, regardless of the gravity of their situation.
