Retention and Destruction of Personal Information


 


The Foundation retains personal information for as long as it reasonably needs it for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. The Foundation applies, and ensures that its suppliers apply, appropriate physical, technological, and administrative security measures to maintain the confidentiality of personal information and to protect it against theft, loss, disclosure, or unauthorized access.


 


Disclosure of Personal Information


 


Access to the information is limited to employees, administrators, volunteers, and ad hoc advisors of the Foundation, and to subcontractors specially assigned for this purpose, and only in the course of their work. Under no circumstances will we sell, share, or rent this information to third parties.


 


The Foundation does not disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the person concerned or as required or permitted by law.


 


All employees, directors, volunteers, and ad hoc advisors working on the committees of the Foundation’s board of directors undertake to respect the personal information collected by the Foundation. In addition, these persons undertake to preserve the confidentiality of the information specific to the activities of the Foundation and not to divulge it or use it for personal purposes or for the benefit of others. This undertaking is effective as soon as an employee, administrator, volunteer, or ad hoc advisor assumes their duties and continues indefinitely.


 


The Foundation may share personal information with trusted partners or suppliers who act as subcontractors to authorize online credit card transactions made via a payment provider at https://www.jedonneenligne.org/fondation-iucpq/ (donations, registrations, or purchase of products) or for any purpose indicated in this Policy or any other purpose indicated by the Foundation at the time the information is collected.


 


The Foundation undertakes to require confidentiality undertakings from these third parties that are at least as stringent as those provided for in this Policy, including controls and measures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the information they hold on behalf of the Foundation, and to prevent the theft, loss, or disclosure of, or unauthorized access to personal information.


 


Notwithstanding the foregoing, no method of electronic transmission or storage of personal information is entirely secure, and the Foundation cannot guarantee that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal information will not be compromised.

Certain financial information may be requested if you make a credit card payment. This information is processed through a secure PCI compliant payment gateway to process the credit card payment.

Logilys has policies and procedures in place to implement and comply with this Policy, including procedures for the collection, processing, disclosure, retention and destruction of personal information;

Third parties who engage in a business relationship with Logilys and who post content on Logilys' platforms are responsible for complying with the privacy principles set forth in this Policy, PIPEDA and any other applicable privacy legislation. Logilys is not responsible for the personal information collected, used, shared or processed by these thirds parties.

Logilys collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

Provide official receipts or invoices when users make online donations or register online;

Allow users to register or create a LogiZone Account, and manage these accounts;
c)
Administer single or scheduled donations or payments;
d)
Generate statistics and summary reports for internal and external use, the latter without reference to personal information;
e)
Communicate directly with users, including through the Logilys News and Updates Service, charitable promotions, or other forms of communication in compliance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Act (CASL);
f)
Provide support and guidance to clients.
Consent for the use of your personal information

Logilys collects personal information about you only when you voluntarily provide it, or only with your consent, as required by PIPEDA or other applicable law;

All Logilys staff members are aware of the need to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal information;

In terms of the processing of credit card information, Logilys adheres to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and, in order to securely store your payment card details, uses the systems of payment processors that comply with the PCI DSS;
